What We Do:
We design custom energy systems for your home or business, utilizing solar thermal, solar electric (photovoltaic) or wind power technology to decrease your current utility bills with a “grid-tie” system. We can also take you completely “off-grid” by designing a stand-alone system for your existing home. Even better, if you are building a new home or guest house, we can integrate “green” energy-saving technology into your plans from the ground up, which will save you thousands of dollars in future utility costs.
Design Process:
- Initial Site Visit : determines solar orientation, suitability of the physical location, and the specific needs of each client (free of charge).
- Preliminary Estimate: an outline of what the system might cost based on site-specfic assumptions.
- Proposal: this includes the cost of designing the system, all materials and hardware, and installation of the proposed system (except for plumbing related to solar thermal hot water heaters, which is specific to each individual job); as well as procuring all permits necessary from town and/or county (Note: certain system “proposals”, due to their complexity, may require additional design time @ $65/hr, not included in the original proposal or cost of labor & materials).
- Performance Estimate: we provide an estimate which projects the power generation & potential earnings for photovoltaic systems.
- Incentives & Grants: we also provide information/forms relating to federal tax incentives and state grants for renewable energy systems.
- Energy Analysis: an in-depth energy analysis of your home/business may be indicated in certain cases, and can be arranged through referral to an outside contractor.
Why We Do It:
The current competition for our remaining planetary energy resources (such as fossil fuel) demands that we come up with new strategies for our future energy needs. The most attractive alternatives to fossil fuel come from clean, sustainable sources – sun, wind, and geo-thermal. These are the natural energies that drive our planet, and cannot be depleted. Developing these alternative
energy systems is not only timely - it is vital to our future. We stand at the beginning of a new age, powered by plentiful, clean energy…we invite you to join us in our endeavors to change the direction of energy usage in our community, our country, our planet. |
